I’m Saira Pasha, an EMR audit trail consultant and expert witness with experience spanning law, healthcare, and technology.

- Confirming whether a document produced represents a complete audit trail
- Providing objective analysis of audit trail data in combination with the medical records and in the context of the case allegations
- Drafting supplemental production requests based on audit trail findings, including revision history, provider communications, and system alerts
- Preparing affidavits in support of motions to compel production or in opposition to requests that are overbroad, not feasible, irrelevant, or unduly burdensome
- Conducting EMR inspections
- Training law firm staff, including attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants
- Training claims departments for insurance companies and hospitals
I’ve had the privilege of working with more than 100 law firms nationwide, providing consulting and expert analysis in a wide range of EMR audit trail issues. Due to ongoing case commitments, new projects are typically scheduled 2–3 weeks out, and at times my calendar reaches full capacity.

February 28, 2026 — Audit Trail Bootcamp

Audit Trail Bootcamp is an intensive, hands-on learning experience for attorneys, legal nurse consultants, and expert witnesses who want to master EMR audit trail analysis. It builds on the foundation of What the Chart Won’t Say and is the perfect next step for professionals who want to see how audit trail concepts are applied in real cases.
You don’t have to have read the book to take the class, but it will very likely help you get more out of it. Having that background means you’ll spend less time taking notes on fundamentals and more time following the real-time analysis.
Participants will watch me work through redacted audit trails from Epic, Cerner, Meditech, and OB systems, see how I identify documentation gaps and manipulation patterns, and follow my reasoning as I translate those findings into persuasive litigation strategy. This class bridges theory and real practice, showing how forensic audit trail analysis unfolds step by step.
March 1, 2026 — Advanced Audit Trails
9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. • Rosemont, IL
This advanced course is designed for those who have already completed the Audit Trail Pro Bootcamp period. Unlike the Bootcamp, which builds the foundation, this session is all about immersion and practice.
For seven hours, we’ll move from case to case, analyzing real-world audit trails across multiple EMR systems. There are no introductory lectures; it’s assumed you already know the fundamentals. Instead, you’ll gain exposure to the nuances and complexities not covered in the basics class.
By the end of the day, you’ll have sharpened your skills, broadened your exposure, and taken your audit trail analysis to the next level.
Registration Details
- Fee: $699 one day, $1250 both days
- Register by November 30, 2025 to guarantee a seat. Enrollment after that date depends on availability.
- 100% refundable through January 31, 2026, minus any transaction fees.
Important Registration Information
To maintain the integrity of the learning environment and protect the proprietary nature of my course content, business competitors are not eligible to attend. A business competitor is defined as anyone who markets themselves as an audit trail or EMR expert and for whom audit trail analysis and/or audit trail instruction is a primary focus or source of business revenue.
Prior students are welcome and receive a 25% discount. Please note, however, that while the redacted examples and case studies will be new, the core concepts and principles remain consistent with those covered in earlier sessions. In other words, if you’ve attended three or more classes with me, you likely won’t encounter entirely new material—only new examples and applications—so please consider that before registering.
To ensure everyone benefits from the class equally and time is used efficiently, the curriculum will be limited to the prepared course materials and agenda topics. The classes are not designed as a “pick my brain” consulting session or an opportunity to ask me questions pertaining to your own case files, but rather a structured, high-value classroom learning experience focused on the methods and reasoning used in real-world audit trail analysis.
A conference room with capacity for 18 students has been reserved for this event, and seats are expected to sell out. Anyone who registers by November 30th will be guaranteed a spot. If enrollment exceeds 18 by that date, a larger meeting space will be reserved in the Rosemont area near O’Hare to accommodate everyone. If at least 18 participants have registered by November 30th, registration will close at that time. The goal is to balance a reasonable class size while allowing students who have been waiting for the next learning opportunity to not miss their chance.
