CONSULTING/EXPERT WORK

Consulting/expert work is performed exclusively by Ms. Pasha and is therefore limited to her availability at the time. For these projects, Ms. Pasha personally reviews the complaint, medical records, deposition transcripts (if needed), and audit trail and provides specific answers to your questions. She also provides her own thoughts and unique insight based on her findings. All projects must have an agreed upon scope before any work is performed. Written reports available upon request.

Consulting work is ideal for projects such as:

  • Drafting ediscovery requests tailored to your case (typically 2-3 hours)
  • Audit trail substantive analysis (most projects fall into the 3-10 hour range)
  • Drafting 30(b)(6) deposition questions (typically 2-5 hours)
  • Affidavits to support a Motion to Compel related to audit trail production

Clients seeking expert work for disclosure and trial testimony should indicate as such on their intake form.

The average turnaround time for existing clients is 3-4 weeks and possibly longer for new clients. In the event of a time-sensitive project, both existing and new clients can request a list of individuals (mostly legal nurse consultants) who have completed a basic course on audit trail analysis taught by Ms. Pasha.

OFFICE HOURS

Office Hours was created to assist attorney clients who just need a little guidance with the audit trail they’re working on, i.e. a “quick question.” Instead of spending time drafting back and forth emails explaining the issue, attaching files, and trying to coordinate a meeting time, simply book an Office Hours time slot using the link below. The only information required in advance is what is needed for conflicts checks. All audit trails and medical records will be reviewed and questions answered live within your time slot. The most common types of questions/issues best suited for Office Hours are:

  • Did the defendant produce an appropriate and complete audit trail pursuant to my request? If not, what’s wrong with it?
  • Explain the basics of how to interpret this audit trail so I can do it myself.
  • I generally understand this audit trail but I have a specific question about a particular data point I see.

Office Hours are limited to 30-minute slots. Providing language for ediscovery requests is a consulting project and not appropriate for Office Hours.

STANDARD REPORTS - $799

Standard Reports take your audit trail and convert the metadata analysis into plain English. These reports are ideal for attorneys or claims professionals who have an Epic or Cerner audit trail and either don’t have the time to do a thorough analysis or are not sufficiently knowledgeable about audit trails.

Every audit trail is reviewed according to a proprietary checklist, including but not limited to an analysis and data pull for deleted/modified notes, provider communications, witness involvement, timeline details, and system alerts. First, the checklist takes into consideration the most important data points that should be reviewed in every audit trail. Next, the data is analyzed according to the allegations in your case and the specific concerns you disclosed in your intake form.

Each report includes an analysis of the metadata, attachments with excerpts of the most important data findings, and information and instructions on how to review and analyze the audit trail on your own to reference later in meetings, deposition prep, and trial.

Standard Reports not only save attorneys several hours of review time, but they are also likely to include and explain evidence from the audit trail that many would not immediately appreciate as significant to their case.   Reports are $999 for Epic audit trails and $799 for Cerner audit trails (one Excel file). If the audit trail was produced in multiple Excel files, an additional fee of $399 applies to each additional Excel file submitted.

Standard Reports on Epic audit trails can be ordered now and will be sent within 14 business days of purchase. Standard Reports on Cerner audit trails will be available in May 2022.
